Time for a picnic! But since it's going to rain, we will have it inside! Come on over to Hope on Sunday night from 5-6! We're grilling burgers and hot dogs, and serving chips, coleslaw, beans, ice cream, and watermelon as well! Those who need groceries may stop in at our food pantry, and we'll give you a ride if you need one, from Canda Manor and the high rise, at 4:30! Come celebrate the end of summer with us! We love you, Ishpeming! More importantly, Jesus loves you!

It's time for our monthly community dinner again at Hope! This month, we are having spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, salad, and ice cream sundaes! Will Spring ever come?? Well, we might as well get together and have supper together out of the rain! Everyone is invited to come to Hope tomorrow night for pasty pie! The meal of course, is free, and the bus will even pick you up from Canda Manor and the high rise beginning at 4:30. He is Risen!!!

We would like to get a group of 30 or more people together to go see the movie "Unplanned" on Sunday at the 1:50 matinee. Val Poutanen is willing to pre-purchase tickets to the matinee showing to ensure there is enough seating for a group from Hope. You will be responsible for paying Val for your ticket. Matinee cost is $7.50 per person. The movie content is appropriate for high school students. If you are interested in going to the movie, please call or text Val at 906-360-0960, or call her home phone at 485-1480. Leave a message on either phone if she doesn't answer. Thank you to everyone who donated for our March "Pack the Pack and Play" drive for the Care Clinic! We filled a car and the people at the clinic were so grateful for your generosity. Thanks for being the hands and feet of Jesus in this practical way.

Baby shower to benefit the Care Clinic of Marquette is happening this month at Hope Free Lutheran Church! Any baby items are needed...…...diapers, wipes, clothing, blankets, etc. Let's shatter the perception that we as Christians only care about PREBORN babies, and let's love on the mamas and babies in our own community that are struggling with a crisis pregnancy and birth! Items may be brought to the church during regular business hours for the remainder of the month. Thank you!

Attention families and friends, we are having a bowling competition on March 24th! This will be the first Sunday of spring break so no homework to keep you from participating. The bowling will be scheduled from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. To spice things up (an to avoid everyone trying to keep the kiddos at arms length) there will be a point bonus based on age for each youngster on the team. My vision is for our group to form teams of 6 bowlers and have each lane bowl two games. Highest total score (including bonuses) wins Hopper! Form your teams and sign up on the bulletin board! (space is limited to 6 full teams)

Due to weather, there will not be a younger youth event today at church today.

The official Hope Free Lutheran road conditions expert let me know this morning that the roads are really difficult to travel. So, for safety reasons, we will not be having church services today.
